Foam Gaskets
|
We convert and form solid rubber, cellular sponge
neoprene and EPDM rubbers, polyethylene closed cell foams, PU open cell
foams, carpet, felt and other non-woven materials, water and solvent based
acrylic adhesive tapes, rubber resin adhesive tapes, VHB tapes, HIPS, ABS,
polycarbonate and other formable plastics Foam Gaskets are used in a variety of applications
and can be die cut or extruded to your exact specifications. Insono is one of
the only foam converters that can provide foam gaskets by utilizing both of
the manufacturing processes used to make foam gaskets. In addition, we carry
one of the largest stocks of foam sheet so that your gaskets can be made
quickly and inexpensively.

Heating, ventilation and air conditioning in
both construction and automotive markets is being affected dramatically by
pressure from climate change lobbies and in particular the need for most global
economies to meet or exceed the requirements of the Kyoto protocols.
Insono,
Lda products help keep hot water hot and cold water cold. The increase in use
of solar and other renewable energy sources have seen the need for more
advanced materials to preserve the harvested energy.
In
particular the high temperatures experienced in solar to water recovery systems
has seen a move towards PVC Nitrile materials as pipe insulation rather than
the tradition PE foams.
Insono,
Lda also supply a wide variety of gaskets and seals for ducting and sound
suppressing materials for fans and air movement products.
The
automotive range incorporates both thermal and sound insulation, as well as
anti-vibration material, and is supplied mainly with cut components. A wide
range of materials are offered in a broad spectrum of weights, thickness and
fibre blends, and can be found in door panels, boot and head linings.
Insono,
Lda manufactures varierty of
foams here at "This page". They can be spilt in to the following
categories:
Acoustic Materials
·
Sound Absorption Foam.
Insono,
Lda has comprehensive range of high
performance technical polyether and polyester polyurethane foams, developed and
formulated to offer excellent sound absorption properties covering low to high
frequency noise problems. Foam qualities are also treated to offer resistance
to ignition.
Applications: Electronic,
Air Conditioning, Heating and Ventilation, Marine, Aircraft, Automotive.
·
Surface Treated and Film Faced Acoustic
Foams.
Several forms of membrane
and surface coated foam composites are available to resolve noise problems in
specific market sectors.
In all cases, surface
finishes may be offered, adhesive or flame laminated to any acoustic foam
available within this section, thus retaining a high level of flammability
resistance.
The main benefits within
this category are loose particulate prevention and impermeability to ingress of
oils, dilute acids and moisture, in addition to a wipe clean surface.
·
Acoustic Damping Sheet and Sound Barrier
Insulation Materials.
Anti-vibration and damping
qualities offering effective noise reduction solutions in Automotive and
General Industrial applications.
These products may also be
offered, laminated to any of the acoustic foam qualities, thus offering sound
absorption and anti-vibration characteristics as a composite product.
·
Standard Polyurethane Foams
Foam qualities in this
category have been designed for a wide variety of applications covering
packaging, protection, shock absorption and many more general situations.
Polymer types are polyether
polyurethane foams and are offered in a range of densities from 20 Kg/m3 up to 300
Kg/m3.
Closed cell foams
An extensive range of
technical closed cell foams carefully formulated to offer ideal thermal and
sealing characteristics, suitable for a wide variety of industrial applications.
For example , Cellular
Rubber Foam , Silicon Foam , Chloroprene , Isoprene , EPDM , NBR/PVC , Nitrile
, NR , EPS , Rigid PVC , Soft PVC , X-LPE , EVA.
These
qualities are available in a range of densities from 20 Kg/m3 to 300Kg/m3 with
various levels of resistance to ignition.
